Terms of Service

Crown Quorum is a private record room — the “Watch Desk” — where you document, organize, and safeguard information about your watches: provenance, condition, service history, documents, media, resale and estate readiness, and stolen-watch preparedness.

Crown Quorum is not a marketplace and does not buy, sell, list, or broker watches. It does not authenticate watches, appraise them, prove ownership, guarantee condition, or predict value. It is not an insurer, a law-enforcement service, a lawyer, or a financial advisor. Any recovery, insurance, service, or resale outcome is yours and the relevant third parties’ — Crown Quorum provides the record and workflow layer, not a guarantee.

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

• Some features require a paid membership. Prices, plans, and included allowances are shown at sign-up and may change with notice.
• Payments are processed by our payment provider. Memberships renew automatically until canceled; you can cancel anytime and keep access through the end of the paid period.
• If a membership lapses, your desk becomes read-only — your records, documents, and history are not deleted, and you can export them or resume membership to regain full access.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

A gift membership is a Keeper membership for a fixed term, paid once by the person giving it. It never renews and nothing further is charged to the giver or the recipient.

• The gift starts when the recipient redeems it, not when it is bought. The recipient needs a Crown Quorum account to redeem it.
• A gift can be redeemed for five years from the date of purchase. After that the code no longer works and the gift expires.
• The giver receives a code with their receipt. If the giver asks us to email the gift on a chosen day, the recipient receives their own code. Either code redeems the gift, and the gift can be redeemed once.
• If the recipient already has a paid membership or another prepaid membership, the gift begins when that period ends. A member who pays by subscription is asked to agree, before redeeming, that their renewal will be turned off so the gift follows the time they have already paid for.
• If a subscription payment is overdue, our team will help you redeem the gift once it’s settled.
• While a gift has not been redeemed, the giver may ask for a full refund. Once redeemed, the membership terms above apply.
• A gift has no cash value and can only be redeemed for the membership it names.

You own the records, documents, and media you add. You grant Crown Quorum a limited license to host, store, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you — for example, to render your desk, generate a redacted packet you request, or run an optional feature you enable. We do not sell your content or use your private records to advertise. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you upload.

You agree not to:

• Use the service to store or share unlawful content, or to infringe anyone’s rights.
• Attempt to access another collector’s records or to circumvent security, rate limits, or access controls.
• Misrepresent a watch’s authenticity, ownership, or value using materials generated in Crown Quorum.
• Disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the service, or use it to build a competing dataset.

Recovery features help you assemble evidence and prepare owner-reviewed notifications if a watch is lost or stolen. They are a preparation and hand-off layer only. Crown Quorum does not recover watches, does not replace a police report or an insurance claim, and does not contact manufacturers, dealers, marketplaces, or authorities on your behalf without your explicit review and confirmation. Registry checks and theft-check results reflect what you or a third party record — they are not a guarantee of a watch’s status.

Optional AI-assisted intake suggests fields for you to review and correct; suggestions may be wrong and are never authoritative — you confirm what is saved, and your serial is entered by you (or read from a photo only when you choose that for a single run) and kept private. The optional ChatGPT connection is read-only and scoped to your own account; it never changes, shares, or sends anything. Your use of ChatGPT is also subject to OpenAI’s terms.

Crown Quorum relies on third-party providers (for hosting, storage, payments, email, and optional AI). Your use of the service may be subject to those providers’ terms, and we are not responsible for their services.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Crown Quorum does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any record, valuation, authenticity, or recovery outcome is accurate or achievable.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crown Quorum will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or to protect the service or other collectors. On termination, the license you granted ends, and you may export your content beforehand.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We’ll revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where Crown Quorum operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here limits any non-waivable rights you have under the laws of your place of residence.
